Jen & Clint Walker’s June 2011 wedding was filled with all things bright and beautiful. This delightful couple were so much fun from the start. Their love story is a precious one. Clint is a local Southeast Texan, and Jen is a transplant from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!
Jen’s only request was for her wedding to be bright and cheery, which suits her personality perfectly. They both have a love of snapdragons, and Jen loves lilies and gerbera daisies. Throw in a love of burnt orange, and with that we began our design work for her bridal flowers, ceremony decor, and reception decor!
The ceremony was at First United Methodist Church, Port Neches, Texas (mine and Clint’s home church!). The bride carried a large bouquet of Sunset and Freedom lilies; bright yellow, orange, and pink gerbera daisies; green pompoms and hypericum; and snapdragons. The bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets of the Sunset lilies surrounded by Orange Mango callas. Their bouquets were stunning against their turquoise dresses. All bouquets were braided with orange ribbon and adorned with crystal buckles and dangling prisms. The groom’s and groomsmen’s boutonnieres were a single calla with a sprig of green hypericum. Clint’s had an added sprig of snapdragon.
The aisle was showcased with four large bouquets of Jen’s flowers with orange streamers and dangling crystals. The chancel was flanked with two large urn and candle arrangements. During the service Jen and Clint stepped to a pedestal which featured three monogrammed mini banners and their sand ceremony vessels.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Nederland, Texas. The tables were draped with brown satin floor-length cloths and accented with scarves and runners of turquoise. Jen’s and Clint’s table feature an extra-large topiary of Jen’s favorite flowers. Her bridal party’s two reserved tables were centered with bronze lanterns and a triple arrangement of yellow, green, and hot pink. Two areas of the reception were criss-crosses of banquet tables centered with a small round table and a large topiary of Jen’s gerbera daisies. Other tables had topiaries and arched candelabras. All were draped with crystal strands. The DJ’s lighting really enhanced the decor!

The adorable wedding cakes by Debbie LaRue were on large round tables with turquoise satin linens accented with black runners and scarves. The B & B Elegant Decor original design backdrop was stunning behind the cake tables. A black drape framed the angled backdrop of bamboo, curly willow, and crystal strands.
