An Anniversary Party, wow…30 years together, and both of their parents have been married over 50 years! Truly blessed to have such a long life together, we played a video of their wedding pictures as well, not a dry eye in the place!

30th Anniversary Party

We have done birthday parties…I love finding different items that can be used as decor…antique books; ratty old torn up books, chipped tea cups, pink water goblets for small arrangements…I think the unexpected just adds to  the charm!

And the punch to the left of the picture, so yummy! I wanted to make it “match” the colors I was using…pineapple sherbert, pomegranite juice, ginger ale, and fresh fruit!

Vintage inspired 60th Birthday Party

Christmas parties, I love how intimate this Christmas Party turned out! This was Southeasttexasweddings.com Christmas Party at The Neches Room, hosted by Beaumont Catering Company! Ashley Behn, wanted “Simple Glamour”, we all can agree that sometimes less is more! We used some beautiful elegant satin for a backdrop for her sign-in table, and I ordered some runners with a red damask that was flocked, added just a touch of that glamour! I glued rhinestones on the hydrangea flowers and attached rope rhinestone to the vases!

The beautiful Neches Room on Crockett Street!

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes…what? a baby!!!

When I asked my client what the theme was going to be  for the baby shower, they said “country”, well those that know me, know I had to think a little bit harder for decor ideas! However, what I came up with, I think was as country as they wanted, but still sutble enough to be a sweet backdrop and honor the sweet couple that have been waiting for their miracle for quite sometime!…oh and the fact that the “couple’s shower” was actually held in a barn, that helped with country feel as well!!

rope, twine, and rafia tied around the chair covers!

Those are privacy fence post that we attached together to make a box, burlap, and untraditional diaper cake that I adored when I got finished with it, and a fun cake that I made per the clients request, and custom cake toppers!

that would be deer corn in that middle vase!

A few of our “fun” cakes we have done

* please  note that we only do “fun” cakes, meaning we do not offer weddings cakes!! we leave those to the PROFESSIONALS, which there are many, many on the website!!

**Also note that the invitations we “offer” are boxed “cutesy” inviations they are not made or designed by me, I only pick them out from a  company and will print party information for you, actual Custom Wedding Stationary can be found  through the vendor section as well!!

The Story of B & B or . . . The Evolution of a Tiny Business

Kyle & Becky Bowser

B & B Solutions

I’ve given a lot of thought to how I ended up in the wedding business in Southeast Texas.

My Partner ~ My Kyle

I can’t tell you how many times folks want to know about our business name, “B & B Solutions.”  Yes, my husband’s name is “Kyle.” No, we aren’t called “B & K.”  Just think of us as “Bowser & Bowser,” okay?!  He may not be at the forefront of the business but he is definitely my sounding board and a true partner.

The truth is, when we launched our business in 2007 I was not even a decorator.  With the name “B & B Solutions” we were keeping all of our options open so that we could offer skills in our areas of expertise (accounting, database management, computer training, etc.).  The business has evolved to include primarily Event & Floral Design, Video Keepsake Slideshow DVD’s, and Graphic Design & Print Services.

P.S.   Yes, that is our picture in the logo, drawn at Astroworld in 1973.  We were 15 and 16 years old.  We know a lot about love!

My Inspiration ~ My Betsy

About being in the wedding business . . . for one thing, our daughter Betsy’s wedding in 2004 was a source of complete joy for me.  Because I believe that it should be a pleasant experience for every bride, I find it natural to look at “my brides” in much the same way that I did Betsy during her planning time.  Within reason (I have to say that!), I want to give a bride everything her heart desires.

I’ve worked with several brides now.  I can honestly say that none has been more pleasant to work with than Betsy, a bride who had a good idea of what she wanted but who was reasonable and appreciative of our efforts to provide.

So, once a bride signs with me, I am on a mission to make her vision for the big day become her reality.   Sometimes—often in fact—a bride does not really know what she wants until she has seen a few things she doesn’t want!  That’s part of the process.  I don’t let this make her or me feel bad, because that is what it takes.  I meet with my brides as frequently as necessary to get it just right.  I really enjoy being thought of as a “second Mom.”

My Confidence ~ My Friends

Too many to picture here, my friends are my encouragers and the source of my confidence.  You know who you are, and you may or may not be related to me!  You’ve hired me and recommended me and encouraged me, and for that I am very grateful!

My Heart ~ My Family

B & B Solutions’ services have grown out of a lifetime centered on celebrations and gatherings with family.  Don’t you wish you could claim an original idea once in a while?  Maybe you can, but most of my ideas have been borrowed from family and friends!  My sisters created an awesome slideshow for my Dad’s retirement in 1992, so I decided I would create slideshows.  My mother-in-law, Carolyn Bowser, was the floral designer for Betsy’s wedding in 2004, so I decided I would become a decorator.

I’m proud as I can be to be right in the middle, the fourth of seven children of Hugh and Rosalie Reeder. We celebrate every new addition to the family.  I believe that the last of Hugh and Rosalie’s grandchildren has been born, but we are adding great-nieces and great-nephews all the time. We celebrate every accomplishment of every one.  We love and enjoy one another.  How awesome it is to know that when you are celebrating a joy or enduring a sorrow, you have family and friends who are feeling it with you.  Unconditional love that others show for your children and your grandchildren—a blessing I do not take for granted.

I am blessed to have my precious husband, Kyle; two loving children, Betsy and Tony; a wonderful son-in-law, Collin; and the sweetest little granddaughter in the world, Caroline Rose.

My Faith ~ My God

I was raised and married in the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Port Arthur, Texas.  My brother Tom Reeder (third from the right in the above picture) is a Disciples minister and has performed most of the weddings in the family.  Our wedding in 1977 was his first as minister.  He is the best!  We have been members of Port Neches First United Methodist Church since 1981.  Our closest and best friends have been made in our church—another huge blessing.

I don’t claim any divine inspiration in my business, but I do ask God for guidance in every area of my life.  I pray for every little one that appears in my daycare videos, and I pray for every bride and groom that trusts me to handle details of one of the biggest days of their lives.

I hope that this has helped you to get to know me a little better.  Please let me get to know you!

Destination, I Do!

The couple shared their first dance as husband and wife beneath the stars!

Just wanted to share an image from one of my favorite destination wedding couples – Steve & Stephanie Medina!  The two were married on the beautiful beach of the Playacar Palace Resort in Riviera Maya this past November.  The couple is pictured during their first dance as husband and wife!

It was a SPECTACULAR wedding!  I LOVE to travel with my brides, so keep that in mind for all of those saying “I Do!” away from SETX!  :)
